Originally from Carpi and now based in Bologna, Manuel Caliumi is among the most interesting young Italian voices on the saxophone. In recent years, he has played in various projects ranging from small ensembles to large orchestras, and even in settings supporting vocals, always bringing his own distinctive approach. He thrives on the energy of improvisation, adapting it to different contexts while paying close attention to timbre and sound.
