Joe Sanders “Paralleles”

Rome, November 4, 2025. It is that time of year when the lights dim, the city wraps itself in the warm tones of autumn, and jazz once again resonates within its ancient walls. For several seasons now, the Rome Jazz Festival has opened windows onto the world, blending geographies, memories, and new sonic trajectories. In this year’s edition, the deep, reflective voice of Joe Sanders’ double bass stands out among the many sounds crossing the stage. An African-American musician who has made France his home, Sanders is a discreet yet essential presence in contemporary jazz.
