They have announced that 2026 will mark the end of their career, after more than a quarter of a century, and have launched a world tour – around fifty dates so far, including two at the end of March in Bergamo and Rome. And, this being The Bad Plus, they will unveil their fourth line-up [1] along the way, almost as though they were a 1970s hard-rock band. The opening leg of the tour will feature the current quartet of Reid Anderson, David King, Ben Monder and Chris Speed; later, the group will change its skin completely, remaining a quartet but bringing in Craig Taborn and Chris Potter. It is the second longest running Jazz magazine in the world and among the longest running in Italy.
In December 2015, it was awarded the prestigious Ambrogino d'oro by the mayor of Milan.
It is published monthly and has been published with an accompanying record since November 1981.
