They have announced that 2026 will mark the end of their career, after more than a quarter of a century, and have launched a world tour – around fifty dates so far, including two at the end of March in Bergamo and Rome. And, this being The Bad Plus, they will unveil their fourth line-up [1] along the way, almost as though they were a 1970s hard-rock band. The opening leg of the tour will feature the current quartet of Reid Anderson, David King, Ben Monder and Chris Speed; later, the group will change its skin completely, remaining a quartet but bringing in Craig Taborn and Chris Potter.
