How did your passion for jazz and the trumpet begin? It began in a completely unexpected way. Until I was almost eighteen, I had never studied an instrument. Then, at a party, a group of musicians was playing and, almost instinctively, I found myself drawn to the trumpet. I asked a friend if I could try it, and from that moment everything changed. It became my life. I enrolled at the conservatory, graduated in just four years, and immediately afterwards joined an orchestra, working with several symphonic and opera ensembles. I discovered a talent I had never known I possessed, and that completely changed the course of my life. After my classical studies, I became an orchestral musician, first collaborating as a freelancer and later on a permanent basis with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano.
