He is a highly skilled, knowledgeable musician with great sensitivity. As well as being a jazz artist, he is deeply interested in ethnic and contemporary music. His latest album, recorded with a quintet and entitled Rituals, fully encapsulates his idea of music without boundaries. Carlo, we introduced you as a musician of not only jazz, but also contemporary and ethnic music, particularly of Mediterranean origin. What particularly attracts you to these musical genres? How do you bring them together when you compose and perform? Yes, my musical journey has always moved between different sound worlds. With jazz, I have the freedom to improvise and incorporate elements that are important to me, such as Sicilian songs, which connect me to my roots, the land and primordial emotions.
