After the success of the reissue of Progressive Jazz by the Modern Art Trio, it seems fair to say that the label is moving decisively forward, not least thanks to the magnificent unreleased Dexter Gordon album. What can you tell us about this new phase? In truth, apart from the very beginning, I believe the label has been moving forward since 2017. That forward momentum was expressed through our decision to work with lesser-known artists whom we considered particularly compelling. Thanks to a significant personal effort, certain productions – Evergreen by Justin Salisbury and A Congregation of Folks by Daniele Germani, to mention just two – attracted substantial attention abroad, helping to establish the label internationally.
