Gianni Coscia: A Lifetime in One Album

At 94, the renowned accordionist from Alessandria has released his first solo album – a work that encapsulates his long career and the experiences and passions of a lifetime.

It is a remarkable moment for Gianni Coscia. Now 94 (he will turn 95 on 23 January 2026), he has just recorded and released his solo debut, La Violetera, which he presented on 26 October at 6 p.m. at the Triennale in Milan. Meanwhile, on 6 September, he released 93 39 / 39 93 on Encore Music, a duo recording with Alessandro D’Alessandro on accordion. The numbers in the title represent the ages of the two musicians at the time of recording in March 2024.
