Could you tell us a bit about the band’s history and how it has evolved? Of course! Allison Miller and I conceived this band together. We share leadership and write music specifically for this lineup. I had played in Allison’s band, Boom Tic Boom, for years. Once, while on tour, we met John Scofield, Scott Colley, Jack DeJohnette, and John Medeski. Since we were traveling together, I started talking with Scott and asked if he’d be interested in joining a new group. We began as a trio, and then Dayna Stephens joined us.
