Michael League talks about his role as Artistic Director at GroundUp Festival

The Californian producer and multi-instrumentalist arrives in Puglia as artistic director of the GroundUp Festival, to be held from June 26 to 28 in Alberobello.

Having created successful groups such as Snarky Puppy, Bokanté, and Forq, and formed an irresistible duo with Bill Laurance, League now brings his talents to Southern Italy as artistic director of the GroundUp Festival. This year’s lineup includes Snarky Puppy, Bombino, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Carolina Bubbico, Söndörgő, Rachele Andrioli, Corolla, Israel Fernández, Fuensanta, Becca Stevens, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Francesca Tandoi, Kinga Głyk, Banda Magda, and Jake & Abe, along with a number of masterclasses. Our first question concerns your many activities. You founded Snarky Puppy, Bokanté, and Forq. You compose, you play multiple instruments, and now you are artistic director in Alberobello.
